OKLAHOMA CITY (April 2, 2024) – There is just one week left to purchase a shirt for Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation’s 2024 T-Up for OKCPS fundraiser!
The Foundation is asking community members and supporters to support this impactful campaign by purchasing a limited-edition “OKCPS Champion” t-shirt. Then, on Thursday, May 9, thousands of public education advocates from across the metro and beyond will all wear their 2024 T-Up for OKCPS shirt to express their public support for our district.
“The annual T-Up campaign not only raises funds that enable us to make an impactful difference in local education – it also allows everyone in the community the unique opportunity to unite in a show of solidarity and support for our city’s schools,” said Mary Mélon-Tully, president and CEO of the OKCPS Foundation. “By purchasing a T-Up for OKCPS shirt, you’re letting our students, teachers and school staff know that they are seen and heard. Our community cares for them and we want to see them thrive and succeed.”
Supporters near and far can purchase the 2024 commemorative T-Up for OKCPS shirts online for just $25 at www.okckids.com/t-up. Available in English or Spanish, youth and adult shirts can be purchased now through April 10th and will arrive in mailboxes in time to wear your shirt on May 9.
All funds raised will support the programs and initiatives of the OKCPS Foundation including Coat-A-Kid, ReadOKC, Teacher Pipeline Programs, DonorsChoose and more.
The May 9 T-Up for OKCPS date intentionally coincides with the Foundation’s Stars of Education celebration, an annual event that celebrates the nine finalists and announces the OKCPS District Teacher of the Year, honors the Sam and Charolet Shirley Outstanding Principal Award winners and recognizes other educators and supporters who make a real difference in the lives of our Oklahoma City Public School’s students.
