Alta D. Price Joins Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation

Alta D. Price joins Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation as manager of outreach and programs.

Price previously served as learning support specialist at Oklahoma City Community College. This role allowed her to connect with various campus and community stakeholders. It also provided her first -hand experience working with diverse populations. Prior to that, she served as admissions advisor and recruiter for Oklahoma City Community College. In this role, she was able to engage with the Oklahoma City Public Schools district and members of the Oklahoma City community.

She has 12 years of experience as a higher-educational professional. During her time at the University of Oklahoma she worked with freshman orientation programs, scholarship programs and transfer programs.

In 2006, she completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. In 2009, she received a master’s degree in adult and higher education from the University of Oklahoma.

Alta’s personal philosophy statement guides her daily interaction with others: “Serving others takes care, connection, and commitment.”
