Thomas W. Utterback’s distinguished career in the Oklahoma City banking industry was matched by his commitment to the community at large. A native of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Utterback became a strong advocate and leader for south Oklahoma City. He served as the president of the south Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and left a lasting legacy within the community through The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools Thomas W. Utterback Personal Best Scholarship and Thomas W. Utterback STARS Scholarship.
The Thomas W. Utterback Personal Best Scholarship rewards students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to achieving their "personal best." The scholarship is available to Oklahoma City Public Schools high school seniors who will pursue a vocational/technology degree or certificate, or an associate's degree from a community college or technology center.
Eligibility:
- Graduating from an Oklahoma City Public School District High School in the 2009-2010 school year.
- GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Will pursue a vocational/technology degree or certificate, or an associate’s degree from a community college or technology center
- This scholarship is not available for four-year university degree programs or university-parallel programs.
