A Grant Review Committee comprised of business and community volunteers will read and score each proposal based on a rubric containing five equally weighted sections: 1) educational impact 2) project description and student activities 3) evaluation measures 4) budget 5) stewardship of donor funds.
Projects should address one of the following target areas:

District curriculum and/or Oklahoma Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS)

Student engagement (i.e., student attendance improvement, drop out reduction, graduation rate improvement)

Parental engagement
Grant winners are also required to submit an on-line evaluation at the end of the school year.
Preferred projects will:

Utilize creative ideas and teaching techniques

Emphasize active student learning and participation

Items purchased are not consumable

Since the review committee, may or may not be from the field of education, it is vitally important that your application not contain educational jargon. Also, please identify acronyms and clearly explain programs/initiatives so that someone from outside the field of education will be able to understand your proposal.
Deadline: Only on-line applications will be accepted. Applications must be received no later than Friday, November 21, 2008, 4:30 p.m. in the Foundation office.
