OKCPS Alumni Barry, Daniel and Hudson
to be Inducted into Wall of Fame
Oklahoma City – The Foundation for Oklahoma City Public Schools is pleased to announce the selection of three outstanding Oklahoma City Public School alumni, sportscasting legend Bob Barry Sr., BancFirst Corporation Vice Chairman and local philanthropist James R. Daniel and Sonic, America’s Drive-in Chairman and CEO Cliff Hudson, as the 2009 class of inductees for the Wall of Fame.
Chaired this year by Brent Hensley, KOCO-TV5 president and general manager, the annual Wall of Fame Humanitarian Awards Dinner honors outstanding alumni and friends of Oklahoma City Public Schools who have made significant contributions to the quality of life in our city, state or nation. "These three remarkable individuals have made a dramatic and lasting impact on our community through their work and volunteer service," said Hensley. "As the 2009 Wall of Fame Inductees, Bob, Jim and Cliff are exceptional role models for our Oklahoma City Public School students to emulate."
Proceeds from the Wall of Fame fund programs supported by The Foundation that directly benefit students and educators in Oklahoma City Public Schools.
This year’s black tie event will be held on Oct. 22, 2009, at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel in Oklahoma City.
